Job DescriptionPurchasing/Procurement Assistant – Chippewa FallsKelly Services in partnership with our customer in Chippewa Falls, is seeking a candidate for a temporary position as a procurement assistant. This position is to cover a leave of absence and is expected to last thru the end of 2017. Responsibilities:- Conduct research to ascertain the best products & suppliers in terms of best value, delivery schedules and quality.- Follows ISO policy in sourcing new vendors and enters parameters into the ERP system.- Identifies potential suppliers, building relationships with them.- Negotiates, approves and maintains contracts and files, monitoring progress and checking the quality of service provided.- Resolves problems and issues arising from purchases, expediting materials as needed. – Verifies receipt of items by comparing items received to items ordered; resolves shipments in error with suppliers.- Processes payments and invoices and works to resolve issues.- Produces reports and statistics as requested.- Evaluates bids and makes recommendations based on commercial and technical factors.The compensation of this position will be in a range of $ 13-16/hr. based on previous skills and experience. Hours: Monday-Thursday 8:00am-4:30pm and Friday 8:00am-12:00pm.RequirementsRequirements:Degree in a business or related field along with a minimum of 2-5 years experience in a manufacturing environment is preferred.
