**Safety Health & Environmental Manager – Baytown, TX** Kelly Services, a Fortune 500 Global Workforce Solutions company, has an exciting opportunity for a Safety Health and Environment Manager to be onsite at our client facility in Baytown, TX. The Safety Manager will be responsible for the planning, implementation and coordination of programs to eliminate occupational hazards, injuries, illnesses, deaths and financial losses. This person will serve as the primary Kelly safety/health contact and manage employee and customer relations. Key responsibilities include but not limited to: * Plan, implement and coordinate programs to eliminate occupational hazards, injuries, illnesses, fatalities and financial losses * Serve as primary Kelly Services EH&S; contact at client site * Maintain good working relationship with all client contacts * Manage employee and customer relations specific to safety * Enhance Kelly Services & client’s safety program by promoting client’s Observation Intervention (OI), Near Miss and Pre Task Analysis (PTA) process * Serve as subject matter expert on clients EH&S; Focus teams * Serve as EH&S; resource for the Kelly Services client Account Team (SAO / GS) * Enhance employees’ safety awareness * Develop and maintain written EH&S; plan & protocol for Kelly employees * Ensure indoctrination of new employees to Safe Behavior process and customer required safety processes * Actively participate in Root Cause Investigations (RCI’s) * Perform safety audits to assure compliance to safety processes * Perform regular observation/intervention visits with employees on site * Monitor/audit employees’ ergonomic conditions and practices * Ensure employees follow their unit’s tailgate/safety meeting schedule * Participate in tailgate/safety meetings as needed * Maintain frequency rate for the sites * Monitor employees safety participation and safety goals Education & Skills Requirement * Basic understanding of the sciences, including chemistry and biology * 5 – 10 years of industrial safety/health field experience * Understanding of OSHA regulations * Strong working knowledge of incident investigation and hazard analysis * Strong documentation skills * Strong oral, written and communication skills * Strong computer and presentation skills * Diplomatic and objective in decision making skills * Strong training/instructional skills. * OH&S; certification or equivalent would be an asset (e.g. Construction Safety Office (CSO), Certified Safety Professional (CSP), Certified Industrial Hygienist (CIH)) **About Kelly Services®** As a global leader in providing workforce solutions, Kelly Services (Nasdaq: KELYA, KELYB) and its subsidiaries, offer a comprehensive array of outsourcing and consulting services as well as world-class staffing on a temporary, temporary-to-hire, and direct-hire basis.
